Former DCI Director George Kinoti was on Monday seen attending an event in Kiambu county.

The details of the event were shared by city based lawyer Wahome Thuku. The lawyer shared on his social media handles that he met the former DCI director when they joined the family of Stephen Muiruri who is a former colleague.

They were attending a thanksgiving ceremony after his former colleague was declared free of throat cancer.

“Catching up with my friend George Kinoti, the former DCI director last evening. We had joined the family of our friend and my former media colleague Stephen Muiruri for a thanksgiving ceremony, at his home in Kiambu County to mark 15 years since he was declared free of throat cancer that nearly took him to Zayuni,” Wahome Thuku revealed.

Wahome Thuku revealed that the former DCI Director was the chief guest during the event and among the notable guests was firebrand lawyer and politician Paul Muite.

Lawyer Paul Muite is reported to have taken about the current gen Z protests and lauded them for agitating for their rights.

“Mr Kinoti was the chief guest. Other guests included veteran politician Paul Muite and seasoned media personalities. In his speech Muite hailed the Gen Z for taking over the mantle to liberate the country, saying they were picking up from where he and other multiparty agitators left it. He praised the young agitators for focusing on issues in their clamour for good governance,” the lawyer added.
