Passaris

Esther Muthoni Passaris is the Nairobi County Woman Representative in the bicameral Kenyan parliament. She is also a member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).she was born and raised in Kenya’s coastal city of Mombasa. Her father is of a Greek descent while the mother hails from the Kikuyu community.

She is regarded as one of the most well-known female public figures in Kenyan business and politics. Passaris who was born in Mombasa. In October 2017, Passaris graduated from the United States International University Africa, in Nairobi, with a BSc International Business Administration.

Passaris is a skilled marketing and public relations professional with over 20 years’ experience. As an entrepreneur, she has successfully conceptualized, started and nurtured two businesses, establishing them to growt and become trend setters in their respective segments, namely Adopt A Light and Shaper Images Ltd. In a bid to play a part in positively fashioning the politics of Kenya, Esther got involved in elective politics, contesting for Member of Parliament in 2008, and finishing in a close second. Later, she vied for the Nairobi Women Representative seat in 2013, and is contesting for the same seat again in the 2017 General Elections.

Jalang’o

When Felix Odiwuor, better known as Jalang’o speaks, he is a ball of energy. His humorous nature, charisma, and charm have stolen people’s hearts, lifting him from humble beginnings to a renowned media personality- and now, MP-elect for Lang’ata, Nairobi.

He was born and raised in Homabay town in Homabay town; he was born in a family with a very humble background, both parents where native famers who could toil to provide for their children, they basically lived a pathetic life, even the basic were not basic to them. They could afford food today and miss the same tomorrow.

Jalango attended his primary school in Homabay Lake primary school, waking up at dusk walking all the way to school for eight good years bear footed in the morning dew and when the sun was overhead scorching ,he walked on the heated ground bare footed, pupils would always break for lunch when the time comes, Jalango would at times go back home for lunch only to find nothing to eat, he would opt to drink water and get back to school, with all this adversaries Jalango remained focused in his studies never to give up at any given point of his life.

At 23 years, Jalango worked as a fisherman and a fishmonger in Home Bay Town at Capital Fish Company Limited. After coming to Nairobi, he used to stay with relatives in different slums, and he would do all types of jobs to make a living. He began his acting career at the Kenya National Theatre, performing set books. He graduated into plays, and that’s when he got his breakthrough on Citizen TV’s Program Papa Shirandula.
