The number of TV stations in Kenya is growing on a daily basis. However not all of them are good. Here is a ranking of the best TV stations based on quality, timely information and entertainment.
Number one on the list is Citizen TV owned by Royal media services. Citizen TV is arguably the biggest TV station in Kenya. It has the best news presenters most notably Rashid Abdullah and Jeff Koinange. Nothing happens in Kenya without Citizen not knowing about it. Their information is accurate. As for entertainment, the shows both local and international are so good. This explains why it has the most viewers in the country.
Second on the list is NTV owned by the nation media. NTV has become a competitor to Citizen when it comes to quality and timely news. Their news anchors and presenters are also good. The only thing that they are second to Citizen TV is entertainment. NTV’s shows are not quite as interesting.
Third on the list is KTN TV. KTN also has good news anchors and presenters. Their information is however not always timely as compared to others. You will always get breaking news later when other stations have already presented. In terms of entertainment however, they are also just as a good as citizen TV. Most Kenyans however prefer news to entertainment hence them coming in third position.
