Kenya Meteorological Department has announced areas expected to receive heavy rains as from today onwards. According to the report shared by Weatherman through the official social media platforms, detailed regional weather forecast indicates that the Highlands West of Rift Valley, Lake Victoria basin and Rift Valley especially Kisii, Nyamira, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Bungoma, Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Narok, Baringo, Nakuru, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu and Kisumu Counties will receive rainfall as from tomorrow onwards.

Morning showers are expected over several places. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are likely to occur over few places occasionally spreading to several other places. Night showers are expected over few places. Heavy rainfall is expected in some parts of Kisii, Narok, Migori, Narok and Vihiga counties will receive heavy rains.

Northeastern parts of the country especially Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir and Garissa counties are expected to receive sunny and dry conditions during the first half of forecast period. Days are likely to be sunny and nights partly cloudy conditions. However, few places within the mentioned places will experience heavy rainfall.
