A week after leaving Kenya for the United Kingdom, ODM party Leader Raila Odinga has visited an ailing ODM MP admitted in a Londo-based hospital.

While sharing the news on Tuesday afternoon, ODM revealed that Raila visited Awendo MP Walter Awino at the hospital in London where he had successfully undergone spine surgery.

From the photos shared, the ODM MP could be seen engaging with Raila Odinga, a good sign that he was recovering well.

Among the places that Raila has visited in UK is University of Oxford where delivered a keynote address after he was invited by the Oxford Africa Society.

The former Prime Minister also touched on his bid for African Union Commission chairmanship in his address.

Odinga was accompanied for the Oxford University event by Prof. Makau Mutua and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Nyando MP Jared Okello.

Raila is expected to intensify his campaigns to take over as the next African Union chairman. He is expected to face still competition from other candidates from Djibouti and South Africa who have also express intentions for the seat.
