Ever since winning the 2022 general elections, President William Ruto has been poaching top politicians from Azimio La Umoja- One Kenya Alliance coalition.
Well, it seems that Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader, Raila Odinga, has suffered another blow after the Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa declared to support Ruto’s government.
The ODM governor was speaking today, August 30, at the State-Lodge in Kakamega during a meeting between the head of state and leaders from the 5 counties of western Kenya, when assured Ruto his support.
Barasa commended the president for bringing development projects to his county and Western Region at large.
“We will support the bottom-up economic model and because we want development, we want to assure you this time round we are going to support your leadership,” said the county boss.
President Ruto has been in the Western Region for a five-day development tour whereby he launched various projects in Busia, Vihiga, Bungoma and Kakamega counties.
