Only one day after Opposition Leader Raila Odinga officially announced the beginning of mass action, various regions of the nation are already recording protests.

Apparently, residents of Kondele, Kisumu, have already rushed to the streets to participate in protests, according to the news brief we received from the Nyanza area on Friday.

Rogue youngsters were heard chanting the “Ruto must go” slogan that the ODM leader unveiled yesterday while riding motorcycles and standing atop moving vehicles.

They were also equipped with whistles, vuvuzelas, and posters bearing various slogans.

According to the footage, the young people didn’t start moving around until they had finished assembling themselves.

Raila and other leaders of Azimio vowed that they would participate in the daily protests up until the government heeded their demands.

The country’s living expenses must be reduced, according to the leaders. Raila wants the cost of staples like cooking oil and unga to drop as quickly as feasible.

In addition, he is calling for the government to reinstate all the subsidies it cut after seizing the powers of the former president Uhuru Kenyatta, including the ones for petrol, unga, and education.

However, Primie Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi admitted that some of Raila’s demands, particularly the subsidies, are too expensive for the government to meet.

Mudavadi, who spoke a few hours after Raila made his demands, claimed that some subsidies, like the fuel subsidies, put a significant burden on taxpayers because they led to high taxation.
