The Azimio leader Raila Odinga has hinted at leaving local Kenyan politics if elected at the African Union Commission as Chairperson. The Azimio leader Raila Odinga and his close allies have named possible successors. The most mentioned leaders are Wycliffe Oparanya, Hassan Joho, Gladys Wanga, Opiyo Wandayi and ODM Chairman John Mbadi. It’s however unfortunate that, the Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has been ignored by the ODM party leadership.

The Azimio leader Raila Odinga has total support from President William Ruto in his AU Chairperson bid. It’s also notable that, a number of leaders in Africa have vowed to support Raila’s AU endeavor.

The Azimio leader Raila Odinga has also met a number of leaders including the United States Ambassador Meg Whitman as well other senior government officers. Raila is working closely with President William Ruto and probably this is happening behind the scenes.
