The Azimio La Umoja One-Kenya boss Raila Odinga has found himself on a tight corner after making tough declarations during the ongoing people’s baraza rally at Kamukunji grounds.

Speaking during the event, Raila announced that henceforth, Matatu drivers should be allowed to carry excess passengers in their vehicles as a move to punish president William Ruto’s administration over the high rate of taxes on fuel products.

On this, Kenyans on social media have attacked Raila, arguing that such a move will expose many Kenyans to accidents which may in turn take innocent lives.

Further, Raila asked Kenyans to normalize walking to various places including their places of work instead of using public transport. He advised others to car-pool whenever their moving from one place to another. According to him, such a move will help in escaping the high cost of fuel set to hit as from July 1st.

Kenyans on Facebook have however argued that Raila’s concern is insane and not applicable under normal conditions. A section of them have stated that Raila should now retire in peace if by chance he has failed to craft a better plan to counter the Kenya Kwanza administration.
