Hype Ballo, the hype master associated with DJ Joe Mfalme, has been remanded in custody after being charged with the murder of top DCI detective Felix Kelian Kitosi.

On Thursday, a Kiambu court magistrate ordered that Ballo be detained until next week. Police had presented him to the court for charging. The reasons for the court’s decision were not immediately available.

Ballo’s arrest is linked to the killing of Kitosi, who was shot dead in Kasarani, Nairobi, on July 8. Kitosi was a senior detective with the Special Crime Prevention Unit (SCPU) and was investigating several high-profile cases, including one involving the disappearance of two Indian nationals.

Ballo is believed to have been working closely with DJ Joe Mfalme, who was also arrested in connection with Kitosi’s murder. Mfalme’s girlfriend was the last person to see Kitosi alive before his death.

The investigation into Kitosi’s murder is ongoing, and more arrests are expected. The police are urging members of the public with any information to come forward and assist in the investigation.

The news of Ballo’s arrest has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, as he was a well-known figure in the music scene. His association with DJ Joe Mfalme, who was also a prominent figure in the industry, has further fueled speculation about the motive behind Kitosi’s killing.

The court’s decision to remand Ballo in custody suggests that the prosecution has a strong case against him. The details of the evidence against Ballo are expected to be revealed in the coming days.Follow the link below for source information.
