Professor Makau Mutua has once again told off the Deputy President following his recent attacks on the Presidency. The Deputy President has decided to fight directly and accused the President of betraying him.
According to the Deputy President, the head of state has been behind the orchestrated impeachment motions that have been targeting him. The DP went further to warn the President stating that the people of his region will not forgive his betrayal.
In his message to the Deputy President, ODM’s Professor Makau Mutua has argued that the Deputy President doesn’t understand the history of Kenya. According to Makau Mutua, the people of the Mt. Kenya region don’t hate betrayal.
He went further to even accuse the former heads of state from the region including the late Mzee Jommo Kenyatta, the Late Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta for betraying their counterparts yet there were no consequences.
“DP Rigathi doesnât know the history of his Mt Kenya people. The people of Mt Kenya donât hate betrayal. In fact, they love betrayal. Jommo Kenyatta betrayed Jaramogi. Kibaki betrayed Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka. Uhuru Kenyatta betrayed Musalia Mudavadi. There were no consequences for those betrayals.” Stated Professor Makau Mutua.
