The convenience of cruise vacations is making them increasingly popular. Princess Cruises, home of TV’s famed “Love Boat,” is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2025.

The festivities include a “Come Aboard” sale with up to 40% off sailings on the line’s 17 ships, including the new Sun Princess and Star Princess. Princess is offering sailings to 330 destinations across 7 continents, and the sale covers select 2025, 2026 and 2027 cruises.

Princess will also be celebrating its 60th anniversary with a special 14-day 60th Anniversary Mexican Riviera Voyage, departing from the Port of Los Angeles on December 6, 2025. The host will be Jill Whelan, star of TV’s “The Love Boat.” Special musical guests will be The Temptations, singing their classic Motown hits like “My Girl,” which also premiered in 1965.

The “Come Aboard Sale” from Princess Cruises runs through February 28, giving potential cruisers plenty of time to plan. The company says guests can enjoy complimentary room upgrades within the same stateroom category and free fares for third and fourth guests when booked in the same stateroom. As Princess puts it, if a family of four is booking one stateroom, the kids sail free. The Come Aboard sale requires refundable deposits of just $99.

Some of the sale fares include:

May 17, 2025: 7-Day Voyage of the Glaciers with Glacier Bay on Caribbean Princess, starting at $799.
June 7, 2025: 7-Day Mediterranean with France & Italy on Sun Princess, starting at $1,149.
July 8, 2025: 12-Day British Isles on Regal Princess, starting at $1,749.
August 1, 2025: 18-Day Greenland & Canada on Island Princess, starting at $1,999.
November 8, 2025: 7-Day Mexican Riviera on Royal Princess, starting at $649.
November 16, 2025: 7-Day Southern Caribbean with Barbados on Grand Princess, starting at $699.
The Come Aboard Sale runs through 11:59 pm PT on February 28, 2025, and is available to residents of all 50 United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Bermuda and the District of Columbia. Details and exclusions can be found here.

“Princess provides a timeless cruise experience, and our ‘Come Aboard Sale’ makes is easier than ever to book a dream vacation on ‘The Love Boat,’” said Terry Thornton, Princess Cruises Chief Commercial Officer.

The 60th Anniversary Mexican Riviera Voyage is also on sale now. The 14-day cruise onboard the Royal Princess will include some of the same ports from the first-ever Princess Cruise, which set sail on December 3, 1965, on Princess Patricia.

The nostalgic cruise, like all Princess Cruises, uses the company’s state of the art Medallion Class technology to make identification, service, and opening one’s cabin a simple and transparent process. The 60th Anniversary cruise will sail from Los Angeles and includes two overnight stays in Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta, plus visits to Loreto, Manzanilla and Mazatlán.

Speaking of nostalgia, The Temptations, the legendary Motown group behind the classic hit “My Girl,” will sail on the 60th anniversary voyage for memorable performances and meetings with Motown fans. This year also marks the 60th anniversary of the release of the Temptations classic “My Girl.”

The host for the 60th Anniversary Cruise will be Princess Cruises Celebrations Ambassador Jill Whelan, known for her role as “Vicki Stubing” in the long-running TV series “The Love Boat.” Princess promises more information on special guests and onboard events leading up to the December cruise.

“As we prepare to celebrate our 60th anniversary, we can’t help but look back at where it all began with one ship sailing to Mexico,” said Gus Antorcha, president of Princess Cruises. “This commemorative 60th Anniversary Cruise will not only pay tribute to our rich history but also bring together the joy of cruise travel, music and unforgettable moments.”
