Rapper and businessman Jackson Ngechu, alias Prezzo is gearing up for his next political run, and he has picked major points along the way.
Come the next elections, Prezzo will be running on a party ticket unlike before when he launched as an independent candidate.
The singer announced on a YouTube channel named Syllabus of Life that he has learnt lots of lessons from his last stint as an MP aspirant running on an independent ticket.
He has his own political party named Chama Mabadiliko Busara.
“And please get this right, on my titles right? Make sure you put Honorable because I have my own party which is Chama Mabadiliko Busara. I have the credentials.”
I really feel like any battle that you try to play and you don’t get it, then it’s not a loss. You already tried in the first place.”
Prezzo’s first-ever attempt at politics saw him head to Wiper Party where Kalonzo Musyoka welcomed him after explaining his vision.
He vied for Kasarani in the August 9, 2022 polls where he was convinced he was the ideal candidate to represent the people of Kasarani. Unfortunately, he did not win.
He made headlines then and has picked major points from politicians on his journey.
“Nothing makes me happier than seeing the challenges in society today. And it’s not that I like being petty. We put ourselves on the front line to bring change to society. But the problem with Kenyans is that they are like sheep. Mnalalamika na hii serikali ndio mlichagua?” he said.
He was disappointed about losing, so after being denied votes, Prezzo sent messages saying he will no longer do handouts.
“Nikawambia dear people of Kasarani ahsanteni sana kwa kuona kwamba mimi sifai kuwa mbunge wenu. Na kwasababu hiyo msiwahi kuniita kwa fundraiser , msiwahi ….” he laughs, “Please leave me in peace.”
He hopes that Kenyan voters will do things differently. “To be honest things are getting worser, at this point in time liwalo liwe, ahadi zote tumepewa hazipo,” he argued about his stance.
