While Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga told ‘I have been asked to eulogize the late President without talking about politics; I don’t know how to do that. We know Kibaki was a great Kenyan. He was a gentleman, a man of conviction and a man who loved perfection’
ODM Raila Odinga
President Uhuru told ‘We congregate today to honor one of the founding fathers of our beloved nation; we are here not only to mourn the death of Mwai Kibaki but also to celebrate a magnificent life. He also spoke about Kibaki the visionary. How do you measure a man who was sworn in as the President of Kenya while in a wheelchair? How do you measure a man who suffered ill health during his first Presidential year?’
President Kibaki’s final rites will take place on Saturday, April 30, with a memorial service at Othaya Stadium. He will be laid to rest alongside his late wife Mama Lucy Kibaki at his Othaya home.
