The commander in Chief led the commissioning of the Mavoko Water Supply Project in Machakos County. Machakos residents will benefit from the $2.7 billion initiative. When finished, it will be able to service nearby counties including Kajiado and Makueni.
During the event, he also stated that the project will create job possibilities for young people. In an effort to encourage Machakos youngsters, the president declared 300 open positions that would provide direct work. Once the expansion program begins, hundreds more others will gain indirect jobs.
It was also claimed that the project had provided fresh, clean, and consumable water to 20,000 families. Kenya and Belgium contributed funds to the project in order to alleviate water scarcity. The country’s citizens will also benefit from safe and drinkable water.
