After meeting with the leaders of the East African Community, President William Ruto has become more transparent. He stated that in an attempt to lower costs associated with trade and business, the ESC is reforming its institutions and systems.
He continued by saying that digitization will give the EAC the platform it needs to be effective and better serve Member States and the public.
The President met EAC Secretary-General Veronica Nduva at State House in Nairobi. Annette Ssemuwemba and Andrea Aguer Ariik Malueth were with her as deputies. Gachagua who is facing the impeachment motion was absent.
“The East African Community is reforming its institutions and systems in an effort to make it more efficient and to reduce the cost of trade and business. Digitisation will provide the platform enabling the EAC to be fit-for-purpose and serve Member States and the citizens better.
