President William Ruto has appointed the acting Inspector General of Police, Mr Douglas Kanja as the next inspector General of Police after the resignation of former inspector General of Police Japhet Koome.

Several sources have confirmed that the appointed inspector General of Police, Mr Douglas Kanja served as a commandant of the General service unit.

President William Ruto has also appointed Mr. Eliud Kiplangat as the deputy inspector General of the Kenya Police Service. Mr. Gilbert Masengeli has been appointed as the deputy inspector General administration police.

In other news, former Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has stated that the government under President William Ruto should be given time to work for Kenyans.

In a report that has been shared by a reliable source of information, it has been reported that Kindiki who was speaking about in Tharaka-Nithi has also stated that the people of Kenya are going to be protected.

Mr. Kithure Kindiki is said to be among the Cabinet Secretaries who were rehired by President William Ruto.
