President William Ruto has today held a meet the people event outside Emuhaya sub-county hospital in Vihiga where he had visited with a section of leaders from the region.
In an expected turn of events, a man was spotted trying to make his way close to the vehicle where the president was standing on. As this was happening, he was carrying what is known to many as a big wooden spoon or ‘mwiko’ in the most popular Swahili language used in the country.
Once he was close enough, he handed it to the president who was watching him from the moment he started coming towards him. He received with a smile on his face.
The president then placed his hand inside the vehicle and he was given some money which he gave out to the man. Unfortunately, he didn’t announce how much he gave him.
On the wooden spoon that Ruto has been given, there were some very special words that had been printed on it. They were pointing out that he was being welcomed in Luanda and Vihiga County in particular and also build Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
“TUJENGE KENYA KWANZA HE KARIBU LUANDA VIHIGA TUJENGE KENYA KWANZA,” read the words from the wooden spoon.
