The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua, has again made a mathematical miscalculation after receiving Jubilee’s bigwig losers of the 2022 general elections in his residential home in Karen, Nairobi County.

Among Jubilee party bigwigs who were invited by DP Rigathi Gachagua were the former MP of Kieni constituency, Kanini Kega, and the former MP for Nyeri Town, Kimani Wambugu, who lost their seats to UDA’s candidates during the 2022 general elections.

The move by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to invite them to the inner circle of the UDA party has dug a deeper hole for the respective members of Parliament who replaced Kanini Kega, and Kimani Wambugu, among other leaders during the recently concluded general elections.

Kanini Kega, and Kimani Wambugu, among other Jubilee party leaders who are now allied to President William Samoei Ruto, will seek to defend their seats in 2027 under President William Samoei Ruto’s umbrella.

UDA MPs who replaced Jubilee MPs will face a rough time in 2027 due to rejuvenated and more complicated scenarios between Jubilee’s MPs and UDA’s MPs since both will market themselves using Mount Kenya’s favorite Presidential candidate William Samoei Ruto’s name.

Kanini Kega, and Kimani Wambugu, among other Jubilee party members, lost their seats to UDA members in 2022 due to their association with ex-president Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and the former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga.
