Reports of angry mob who torched a car belonging to a police officer emerged online eliciting mixed reactions among Kenyans.
According to reports, the incident occured at Nzoia in Bungoma county, sources indicated that a night guard was going home after finishing his night shift guard when he met a civilian police officer.
The officer who was driving during the incident slowed his vehicle and ordered him to stop but the guard didn’t obey the commmand since he didn’t knew who the man was and his intentions.
After a bitter altercation the officer pulled off a pistol and shot dead the man. An agry mob reacted quickly and cornered the officer but he luckily escaped the scene leaving behind his car.
The car was burnt to ashes, the residents protested about insecurity and asked the government to jail such officers who use their position unlawfully. The body of the guard was later taken to Bungoma hospital mortuary.
