Reports of a police officer who was shot dead while watching a game between Manchester united and Chelsea emerged online leading to a somber mood among Kenyans.
According to reports, police officer Amos Kipchirchir who was attached to the Liter police post was shot several times on the left side of his chest at around 11:5pm. He bled and died before receiving medical attention.
Local police officers from Marweket managed to recover five used bullets at the scene of incident inside the club, the officers are also hunting for the suspect who is at large.
Cases of police officers being murdered in a similar incident has been rampant in the country. The last incident is where a DCI officer was killed while in a Club at Kiambu road by a well-known entertainer Dj Joe Mfalme. In another incident a police officer was hacked by his wife while asleep at the home.
