Police efforts into the shocking murder of a couple in their mansion have reached a disappointing snag after it was revealed that attempts to see surveillance footage had been unsuccessful. The DCI hoped that the footage from the surveillance cameras would help them piece together what had happened before the murders. Investigators are looking into whether or not the surveillance cameras were turned off before the brutal incident.

The two suspects currently in custody have reportedly provided key information about a third person of interest who was believed to have visited the mansion before the late night attack, as reported by the Kenyans.co.ke digital news outlet. The maid is believed to have described the man who came to the residence for hours of private conversations with the family before leaving abruptly.

The household gardener, who also served as the couple’s security guard, is now in arrest. He was the one who presumably let the stranger who had visited the family in earlier unlock the gate.
