Controversial gospel singer Chris Mosioma, famously known as Embarambamba, has issued an apology following sanctions imposed by the Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB) for what the body termed as lewd content detrimental to society’s moral values.

In a brief video shared on his social media platforms, Embarambamba pleaded with KFCB not to take action against him, expressing concern that his children would suffer if his content was removed from online platforms. He revealed his sole reliance on his content for income, which he uses to support his family, and fears that KFCB’s actions would plunge them into hardship.

“Please forgive me, because the letter you handed me is heavy. I know no human born of a woman is without fault. I ask for forgiveness,” Embarambamba appealed.

He also sought forgiveness from Kenyans, urging those offended by his songs to find it in their hearts to pardon him. Embarambamba acknowledged the inappropriateness of his online content and pledged to adjust his songs to align with societal expectations.

Amid KFCB’s sanctions against him and another artist, identified as Getumbe, Embarambamba pleaded with authorities to allow his songs to remain on YouTube to sustain his family, emphasizing the significant views his content has amassed.
