Machachari actress Wanjiku Mburu alias Mama Baha saying when the program ended, it was tough to detach herself from the role.
Speaking to Mpasho.co.ke, the mum to be said Mama Baha is what most people identify her with.
“However sometimes, I go out and some call me, Cathy a role I played in a different play, I mean I am identified differently depending on how I impacted your life,” she said.
Mama Baha is glad that all those names identify her.
“Machachari is something we had been doing for 12 years. It is your work and you get satisfaction in it. After 12 years, we had become family. It was painful and heartbreaking to end it but then everything has a beginning and an end.”
“We were grateful that we formed a relationship and even after the show, there are people we talk to. If any of us is in need, we can reach out and if I can, I help. We went past job, to now they are adults.”
She said that as an actor, they immerse themselves into any role adding that playing Mama Baha was not easy.
“There are things I do and people will say that is Mama Baha. I am a tomboy in real life and me getting into that role of a mum was tough.
Machachari brought in growth. I was portraying someone I am not but it has made me grow as an actor.”
