With plans in place to welcome the King of England to Kenya, there have been mixed opinions with many wanting the King to publicly apologize for the atrocities committed to Kenyans during the precolonial period when the country was a British colony.
As a British Colony, lives were lost with some loosing huge chunks of land to British imperialists. King Charles III who is set to tour the Nation will be received by President William Ruto and the visit will mark the second major visit to Kenya since 1963.
A photo of the first President of Kenya Mzee Jommo Kenyatta with young King Charles who was then the Prince of Wales has elicited mixed reactions and many were left talking.
The photo which was taken in 1963 shows Mzee Jommo Kenyatta with the young Prince Charles and the photo was an evidence of two people from two different worlds. In the photo, Kenyans couldn’t fail to notice how huge Mzee Jommo Kenyatta was in terms of body structure compared to the young Prince who is now the King of England.
