Philip Karanja popularly known as Phil is among the few successful directors in the country, the celebrity who is currently the subject of discussion on social media especially after parting ways with his wife, Kate actress revealed that they used to get paid ksh 500 shillings in every Tahidi high episode.
When he joined Tahidi high, together with Abel Mutua in 2007 they were just extras at the show which began earlier. To them, 500 was such a big deal. When they became the main actors, they received 3,000 per episode. By the time they were leaving the show in 2014, they were earning 20,000 per episode.
Phillip met his wife Kate actress after joining the mother-in-law show as a director, just like any other child, Philip wanted to be a pilot however, while in his high school days, he watched an action film popularly known as ‘naked weapon’ and it changed his mind. The director is now making millions and continues to inspire many in the country.
