Kanyari Daughter

Controversial Nairobi preacher Pastor Victor Mwangi Kanyari has sparked online discussion after revealing that his daughter once asked him for KSh300,000 to go shopping, prompting him to publicly declare that he intends to give his children whatever they ask for.

The moment was shared during a recent church service at Salvation and Healing Ministries in Kayole, where Kanyari invited his children to the pulpit as he addressed the congregation. In a light hearted exchange, the preacher narrated a conversation he had with his daughter concerning money and generosity.

Kanyari told congregants that his daughter questioned him after learning he had given money to a guest at church, asking why he could support others financially but decline her shopping request. According to the preacher, the amount requested by his daughter ran into hundreds of thousands of shillings, with online discussions placing it at around KSh300,000.

The preacher used the moment to speak about fatherhood, responsibility and his relationship with his children. He stated that he works hard to ensure they lack nothing and expressed his intention to always provide for them as long as he is able.

Videos of the exchange quickly circulated on social media, drawing mixed reactions from Kenyans. Some users praised Kanyari for being transparent about parenting and providing for his children, while others raised concerns about discussing family financial matters publicly, especially in a church setting.

Kanyari has previously spoken openly about his role as a father, often sharing that he pays school fees and meets the daily needs of his children despite the challenges he has faced in his personal life. He has maintained that his priority remains the wellbeing and future of his children.

The incident has once again placed the outspoken preacher at the centre of public attention, highlighting how his personal life continues to intersect with his ministry and online presence.
