The sad story of 19-year-old Joan Nzomo’s death in Kasarani has left detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) searching for answers. Joan went to stay at an Airbnb in Thome Estate on Saturday morning, but later, she was found dead.

Reports from Citizen TV suggest that Joan might have been pushed from the 10th floor of the White House apartment. Lawrence Gitonga, who was believed to be with Joan, was found injured and getting treatment at Uhai Neema Hospital.

Detectives are focusing on Gitonga, who is being watched by the police at the hospital. They are also looking for three other people connected to the case.

CCTV footage from the building has given important information about what happened before Joan’s death. The footage shows Joan and Gitonga arriving at the apartment around 3 a.m. Gitonga looked drunk. When they got out of the elevator on the 10th floor, Gitonga opened the door while Joan waited outside. After they went in, Joan was not seen alive again.

When detectives went inside, they found blood in the sitting room and toilet, but the bedroom was neat. This discovery has made the mystery even deeper.

As detectives continue to find out what happened that night, the case reminds us of the dangers in everyday situations. The search for justice for Joan Nzomo continues as the authorities work hard to find those responsible for her death.
