Guess what’s happening in Raila Odinga’s world? His nephew, Jaoko Oburu, just spilled the beans about something big – they’re launching a cool squad called Pals for Raila (PFR).
Now, “Baba” usually means “Dad” in Swahili, but in Kenya politics, it’s all about Raila Odinga. Jaoko spilled the deets, saying PFR’s job is to create a massive gang all across Africa, cheering for Raila to become the big boss of the African Union.
According to Jaoko, PFR isn’t just a fan club; it’s a powerhouse. They’re planning to set the stage for Raila to hop around African countries, meeting folks and getting those thumbs up for his big AU gig.
“We’re on a mission, folks! We want friends from every African country to join our gang. We’re getting ready for Baba’s visits everywhere, making sure he talks the talk that fits each country. Our game plan is all about making sure Baba becomes the AU big shot,” Jaoko spilled the beans during an interview.
The PFR crew is all about customizing Raila’s messages, making sure they match what different countries care about. Jaoko even mentioned how they’re gonna help Baba have a chit-chat with leaders from all these countries, so he really gets what’s on their minds.
Raila kicked off this whole adventure in February, saying he’s ready to serve the whole continent. The current AU boss’s time is up next year, and the big vote is set for February 2025. But Raila’s not sitting around; he’s got the East African leaders backing him up, and a group called Kenya Kwanza is getting all set to help spread the word.
So, there you have it – Raila’s got his pals, and they’re making sure the whole of Africa knows about his big plans.
