Popular ODM Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo has disclosed how she lost over KSh 500,000 to a notorious scammer.
Taking to her verified Facebook page, the lawmaker, nicknamed ‘Bad Girl Millie’ by her supporters, revealed that she was conned out of over half a million shillings while seeking someone to print her recently released political book Rig or Be Rigged.
The outspoken MP was responding to a complaint from another Kenyan, entrepreneur Caroline Gikunda, who also disclosed that she and her friends had fallen victim to the same con artist.
“I have seen Caroline Gikunda write about a person who conned her out of money. I was conned of over KSh 500,000 by someone who was supposed to print my book Rig or Be Rigged. I have since learned of two other people he conned. Definitely a case of obtaining by false pretenses,” the legislator wrote on Facebook.
The notorious scammer is allegedly living in Goa, India, along with accomplices.
