Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly (MCA) Robert Alai has raised concerns over the five point agenda set for the Bomas of Kenya talks between the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance.

“National Dialogue is useless, insincere and out of touch with reality as long as the issues of ward development is not entrenched in the constitution. Issue 3D should be the entrenchment of Ward Development Fund in the constitution.”
Alai’s remarks came few hours after the National Dialogue Team led by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and the Majority leader in the National Assembly Kimani Ichung’wah unveiled the how the issues of both the Azimio and Kenya Kwanza wing will be categorized.
According to the statement, the issues will be under 5 categories; Outstanding Constitutional matters, Electoral Justice and related matters, entrenching funds in to the constitution, Establishment and entrenchment of state offices and fidelity to multiparty democracy.
The opposition wing led by the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga had been bold that their issues include; the cost of living, audit of the 2022 polls, reconstitution of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, political parties independence and outstanding constitutional reforms.
Kenya Kwanza wing fronted the IEBC reconstitution, implementation of the two thirds gender rule, entrenchment of CDF and office of the opposition leader as well as the embedment of the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary.
