Drama happened in Turkana county on Friday after Azimio One Kenya Leader Raila Odinga was denied a chance to address the people.
Chaos had erupted at Mr Odinga’s event in Turkana county but his ODM supporters insisted that the gathering should proceed after orders was restored.
However, area MP announced the end of the meeting leaving Raila’s supporters in disbelief.
The Azimio boss is in the county for the Turkana Cultural Festival which started on Thursday.
Turkana Central MP Joseph Emathe adjourned the meeting before Raila addressed the crowd. This forced some ODM supporters to raid the podium, demanding the event proceed as planned.
” There will be no more addresses here, and I have said that as the Turkana Central MP,” he stated.
Area leaders had accused Raila of sidelining the community poking holes on appointment of his daughter Winnie Odinga to EALA.
The chaos comes a day after Turkana Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai, who was elected on the ODM party ticket, pledged his support for President William Ruto and his administration.
Lomorukai ditched Raila moments after Ruto launched the Turkana Cultural Festival.
