In an affidavit to the Registrar of Political Parties as reported by one of today’s Dailys, the Kenya Kwanza Coalition could lose its grip of the National Assembly to the minority side which is Azimio.

Following the recent decisions within the ruling party that saw the ouster of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, the minority leadership seems to be taking advantage of the gap with the recent debate now being for the removal of the current speaker Moses Wetangula.

In a statement made through his official X page, ODM Legislator Robert Alai has even argued that the minority party is now the majority in the National Assembly. “We are the majority coalition in parliament.” Read part of the statement made by the ODM politician.

Robert Alai went further to even state that Suna East Member of Parliament Junnet Mohammed ought to be the Majority leader of the National Assembly which then calls for the removal of Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wa from his position as Majority leader.

He went further to insist that the push for the ouster of National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula from his position is due to bias. Should the move be implemented, the the opposition side would have succeeded in toppling Ruto’s Government bearing in mind that most have even been given powerful CS positions.

“Junet Mohamed should be the majority leader. Azimio pushes to remove Wetang’ula as Speaker over bias.” Stated Robert Alai through his official X page.
