You have probably come across Ochungulo Family’s latest hit Mbingijii Imekulwa Na Ndogi, translating to the dog has eaten the chewing gum.
The viral song was created around the hook which features a young girl’s heavily accented voice whose intent was to say ‘Big-G imekulwa na dogi.’
Well, Ochungulo Family managed to track down the girl behind the phrase alongside the boy who asked her to pronounce it.
The group shared a video meeting with the young girl identified as Happiness, announcing that they will pay her tuition fees for an entire year and support her family as best as they can.
“We managed to get a hold of the little girl whose voice eclipsed into the Mbinginji viral audio… She travelled all the way from Meru to meet us.
“It was a pleasure and her story is so touching and guess what! Her name is Happiness… Quite the talented young soul! And you know you gotta appreciate people that have brought a smile or just made you happy in one way or another.
“Thus, we decided as @ochungulo_family to pay for her school fees for the next one year, and as the saying goes, ‘educate a girl, and you impact an entire community’ and also support the family as much as we can. If you like to help for this cause feel free to contact us.
“All in all it was a pleasure to meet her and her family,” the group wrote.
