DAP K party Leader Eugene Wamalwa on Thursday, broke protocols when he was invited to speak during the memorial service for the victims of Endarasha School fire victims in Nyeri county.
Eugene was tasked with reading a condolence message from Former President Uhuru Kenyatta, whom he said talked with him on Wednesday evening.
However, despite warning against speaking politics during the event, the former Defense CS went ahead to break the protocol. Governor Wahiga Mutahi had warned politicians against politics, saying parents had requested that nobody should be allowed to talk politics during the service.
Eugene warned that they will not allow the DP to be impeached, adding that he, together with Kalonzo Musyoka will stand with Gachagua and Mt Kenya people I they are called upon.
“DP Gachagua we gave you a warning that day because we had gotten some hints that plans were underway to divide the opposition and later Mt Kenya region. We have started witnessing this happen in Nyahururu. Those who are planning to start fire in the mountain should be warned that the mountain has friends. Kalonzo has been a friend to former president Kibaki. I the day comes and this mountain calls upon us, we will stand with you,” stated Wamalwa.
Things were no different when Gachagua took to the stage. Despite warning against politics, Gachagua assured Eugene and Kalonzo that the Mt Kenya people will not forget their friends and the good things they have done to them.
He warned that the same people are easy to forgive the bad things done to them but takes ages for them to forget.
“People of the mountain are very loving and return love with love. They are very forgiving but do not forget. I urge everybody to treat the mountain people with kindness because it is the right thing to do. These people were there with me, and they will be there tomorrow,” stated Gachagua
“There is political tension in this country, let’s not pretend. We will stand with you DP without fear, this country is bigger than all of us. We will not say much more here for the respect of these little ones, but please allow me when we get out of here, we will speak in Nyeri town and Karatina, do not send us teargas, we have a lot to say,” stated Kalonzo on his part
“For every action, there will be a reaction, that is simple and we are not used to standing bad things as a community, that is all I can say,” stated Governor Kahiga Mutahi.
