Some hours ago Pauline Njoroge posted on her Facebook official page talking about affordable housing during president Uhuru Kenyatta tenure. According to her Former President Uhuru Kenyatta made significant strides in addressing the affordable housing crisis in Kenya before the end of his tenure. Through various initiatives, he oversaw the construction of thousands of affordable housing units without imposing a housing levy on Kenyans.

List of Affordable Housing Projects Accomplished:
1. NHC Stoni Athi View: Consisting of 170 units, this project provided affordable housing options to residents in the Athi River area.

2. Starehe Affordable Housing Project: Comprising 1,000 units, this project aimed to alleviate the housing shortage in the densely populated Starehe constituency.

3. Pangani Affordable Housing Project: With 3,000 units, this project sought to address the housing needs of low-income earners in the Pangani area.

4. Kitui Affordable Housing Kalawa Road: Consisting of 509 units, this project catered to the housing needs of residents in Kitui County.

5. Kings Sapphire Bondeni Affordable Housing: Comprising 605 units, this project aimed to provide affordable housing solutions in the Bondeni area.

6. Buxton Affordable Housing Projects: Consisting of 850 units, this project targeted low-income earners in the Buxton area.

7. Park Road Ngala: With 1,370 units, this project sought to address the housing needs of residents in the Ngala area.

8. Mavoko Sustainable Housing Projects: Comprising 463 units, this project focused on providing sustainable and affordable housing solutions in Machakos.

9. Kibera Soweto East Zone B:Consisting of 4,400 units, this project aimed to improve living conditions for residents in the informal settlement of Kibera.

10. NHC Stoney: Consisting of 170 units, this project provided affordable housing options in the Stoney area.

These projects aimed to cater to the housing needs of low-income earners and improve living conditions for Kenyans across the country. It is noteworthy that these affordable housing projects were accomplished without imposing a housing levy on Kenyans, demonstrating the commitment of the former president to addressing the housing crisis without burdening the citizens.
