Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has claimed that during former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime, police went to his house looking for firearms.
The former president of the Republic of Kenya commented that is not scared and told them to go for him. The former head of state Mr Uhuru kenyatta slams the government after they raided his son’s house in Karen.
Mudavadi said that nobody is above the law and that impunity in the country is something that must end.
The former head of state minister Uhuru kenyatta said the government to stop intimidating people close to him and rather come for him directly.
He was speaking in South Mugiragango, Kisii County where he had attended a women empowerment event alongside President William Ruto.
The former head of state Mr Uhuru kenyatta father went ahead telling them to stop intimidating and 90 year old woman and her grandchildren and rather go for him and they know where to find 24/7.
“I want to tell the leaders present here that even when Uhuru Kenyatta was the president, the police came to my home looking for firearms. Nobody is above the law,” he said.
The police said they were searching for weapons, but Kenyatta condemned the raid as an intimidation tactic by the government.
The prime CS said that the police even insisted on checking whether his firearm was properly licensed.
In a live address from his son’s home, Kenyatta said that the raid was “an act of impunity” and that it was “clear that the government is now going after my family.”
“We must all respect the law. They even told me that they wanted to see if I was properly licensed and this is because I was not above the law,” he said.
Kenyatta said that the government had recently withdrawn security from his mother, Mama Ngina, and that this was part of a pattern of intimidation.
