Secretary General of the Jubilee Party Jeremiah Kioni has emphasised that Raila Odinga’s choice to become a member of the Kenya Kwanza administration presents a chance for the opposition coalition to fortify itself beyond the 2027 elections. Mr. Kioni stated that Kenyans can expect a more youthful, restructured, and powerful Azimio team to form a government in 2027 or earlier in an interview with Radion 47 on Wednesday night. The outgoing parliamentarian from Ndaragwa further stated that the opposition coalition is willing to collaborate with the nation’s Generation Z citizens in order to improve things in their homeland.

In the future, Azimio will emerge as a more formidable, revitalised, and youthful individual who is poised to lead the next administration by 2027 or earlier. With Generation Z, we are prepared to work.” Eremiah Kioni. Only a few hours had passed when Kioni made his remarks, after ODM party leader Raila Odinga’s decision to nominate close allies for the next cabinet of President William Ruto. The co-principals of Azimio publicly refused to enter the Kenya Kwanza administration in favour of a coalition government, and Odinga decided to go ahead in spite of their vehement objections. Convincing the government to abandon the Finance Bill and dissolve the Cabinet, according to the leaders, would be tantamount to betraying the Generation Z.

President Ruto rattled the ODM party and the Azimio alliance on Wednesday by announcing his decision to name Wandayi, Oparanya, Joho, and John Mbadi to his cabinet.
