Deputy President Hon Rigathi Gachagua has hit out at Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga for calling for mass action. The second in command accused the opposition of enabling violence during the Tuesday mass action.
While speaking at an event, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua hit out at Raila Odinga insisting that there is no room for a handshake. He urged the opposition leader to have a handshake with Mama Ida Odinga and not President William Ruto.
DP Gachagua also reacted to the goons who torched a Public Service Vehicle on Ngong Road. Gachagua linked them to Azimio la Umoja saying that Raila lied to Kenyans that his protests will be peaceful.
Gachagua later urged the opposition to wait for the upcoming 2027 General elections where they will face off in elections. He expressed his confidence that they will beat Azimio la Umoja for the second time pants down.
This comes after the Azimio la Umoja convoy failed to access the Central Business District on Tuesday. Police officers managed to contain the opposition forcing them to return to Jaramogi Oginga Odunga Foundation where they addressed supporters.
All attention will now focus on Azimio leader Raila Odinga to see what direction he will give to his supporters as far as mass action is concerned.
