A Naivasha Sub-County medical doctor has been arrested in connection with the shocking murder of his lover, a mother of three, in what authorities are calling a suspected love triangle.
The tragic incident occurred in the Kabati Estate, Naivasha, sending ripples of disbelief through the tight-knit community.
The victim, identified as 32-year-old Jane Wambui, was found lifeless in her home late on Monday evening.
Police say there were clear signs of foul play, and after a preliminary investigation, it emerged that the suspect, a well-known doctor in the area, had been in a secret romantic relationship with her.
Local reports suggest that the murder might have been triggered by jealousy, as Wambui was reportedly involved with another man, leading to a confrontation between the two men.
“We are still piecing together the details, but there are indications that the doctor may have acted out of a fit of rage after learning about another relationship Wambui had,” said Officer Kinyua, who is leading the investigation.
He also confirmed that the doctor had been apprehended at his residence, and a weapon believed to have been used in the crime was recovered from the scene.
According to neighbors, Wambui, a mother of three young children, had recently separated from her husband, further complicating the tangled web of relationships in the area.
Some sources claim that the doctor had been pressuring her to choose between him and the other man, and when she refused, it allegedly led to a deadly confrontation.
The arrest has sent shockwaves through the community, as the doctor, a respected professional, was well-liked and trusted by many.
Authorities are now working to unravel the full extent of the love triangle and whether the doctor’s actions were premeditated or an impulsive outburst.
As the investigation unfolds, questions remain about the true motive behind the murder and what led to such a tragic end for a woman and mother who was clearly at the center of multiple conflicting relationships.
