Public Servants inhabiting varied local and regional destinations will be deducted varied amounts of money every month as contribution to the newly institutionalized Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF).
According to a breakdown on the new SHIF monthly deduction released by one of the local media outlets, that is NTV Kenya, public servants earning a monthly salary of Ksh20,000 will now be deducted Ksh550 for the Social Health Insurance Fund every month.
According to the breakdown, Social Health Insurance Fund monthly deduction for public servants with a salary of Ksh50,000 has been capped at Ksh1,375 while those earning Ksh100,000 every month will be deducted Ksh2,750 towards the fund.
The breakdown on the Social Health Insurance Fund deductions further discloses that those public servants earning a month salary of KSh200,000 every month will see their payslip face a deduction of KSh5,500 as a contribution towards the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF).
According to the breakdown, Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) deduction for public servants with a salary of Ksh500,000 stands at Ksh13,750 while those earning a salary of Ksh1 Million will see a SHIF monthly deduction of Ksh27,500.
