For the last few months the Kasarani stadium has been under construction and has not been open to any activities. It is part of President William Ruto’s plan to uplift the country’s stadiums to international standards.
After being worked on immensely by the engineers, the Kasarani stadium has got a new face and Kenyans are loving it. As seen by this writer in some leaked photos by a government blogger, the works are almost over with only the finishing phase remaining.
The seats have been set already and the roof in the process of being done. After its completion which is estimated to be by mid January 2035, the stadium will be among the best in the country.
The government is also working on other stadiums to elevate them to international standards so that they can host major games in the continent. Kenyans are eagerly waiting to see the final look of the stadium when the works are done.
