Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru has called for nationwide protests in response to the rising cases of abductions and extrajudicial killings in Kenya. In a message shared on social media, he urged citizens to take to the streets to demand justice and accountability from the government, particularly President William Ruto’s administration.

Njiru’s statement comes amid growing public outrage following multiple reports of enforced disappearances and suspicious deaths. The recent discovery of bodies belonging to missing individuals has intensified concerns about the role of security agencies in these incidents. Many believe the government is either complicit or failing in its duty to protect its citizens.

The call for protests aligns with sentiments expressed by human rights organizations and political figures who have condemned the abductions. Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi has also publicly criticized the government’s handling of the situation, calling for urgent action to stop the disappearances.
