Death is a painful experience when it strikes a family, but losing two within days is so cruel.
A family in Kitui county is struggling to come to terms with the passing of two brothers who died in mysterious circumstances
Dr. Solomon Michael Sambu of Nyahururu County Referral Hospital and John Kyalo Sambu, owner of Lovely Homes Kenya in Nairobi, died two days apart.
Their sudden deaths left family and residents of Kithayoni village in Nguutani in shock.
The elder brother, Dr Solomon, lost his life on November 19 while his younger brother, Kyalo, breathed his last on November 21.
On the fateful day, Solomon reportedly complained of feeling unwell and retreated to his house to take a rest. Moments later, he collapsed in his house and was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. A postmortem examination indicated that he had a head injury that severely affected his brain.
Two laters later, Kyalo complained of chest pains while at his home. He took some medication before going to rest. After some few hours, he developed breathing complications and was immediately rushed to a Nairobi hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
The two have since been eulogised as the best of friends since their childhood.
