A postmortem conducted on Thursday yielded inconclusive results, prompting forensic experts to collect additional samples for toxicology tests.

The examination, led by Dr. Richard Njoroge, was conducted at the Makueni County Referral Hospital before Scott’s remains were transferred to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi.

Authorities are now exploring other possible causes, with investigators suspecting poisoning.

The new revelations cast doubt on earlier theories, leaving Scott’s family and colleagues anxiously awaiting conclusive findings.

Scott, a representative of American data analytics firm FICO, had arrived in Nairobi on February 16 for a product launch.

He was last seen leaving the JW Marriott Hotel in Westlands the following day before visiting a bar in the company of an unidentified man.

His decomposing body was discovered inside a gunny bag in Makongo Forest on February 24.

The bag also contained pineapples, which investigators believe were used as a cover by the killers in case they were stopped at police checkpoints.

A taxi driver and a waiter who interacted with Scott before his disappearance have provided crucial leads, directing detectives to a house in Pipeline where the prime suspect allegedly took him.

As forensic tests continue, the unexpected twist raises more questions than answers, leaving investigators under pressure to uncover the truth.
