A family from Zimmerman estate Nairobi has been in agony after their 14-year-old daughter disappeared in unclear circumstances.
Claire Njeri Kirimi, a Form Two student at St Michael Girls High School in Kenol, Thika has been missing for almost a month now.
The family members have visited nearly all their relatives in search of the girl but to no avail.
Njeri’s disappearance has been shrouded in mystery after unknown people called her mother and provided her with false information.
Two strange people are reported to have called Njeri’s mother claiming to be hosting her in Rongai. Later on, it took a new twist after the callers informed the mother that girl had left to unknown location.
The distraught mother then requested to meet them so that they could assist her in tracing her. The duo agreed, but after the woman arrived in Rongai, they switched off the phone and later warned her not to call again.
Since then the phone has been on and off, sending the family into an harrowing experience.
The family has sent a distress plea to the public, urging anyone with information about their daughter to report to the nearest police station or call 0721305374.
