A Nairobi-based blogger Dennis Oyiengo is missing after he was picked up by unknown men.
Oyiengo was picked up by four armed men in Lucky Summer Estate. The men broke into his house, picked him up and forced him to the back seat of a double cabin car before they drove away towards Kasarani area.
Witnesses said he tried to resist and shout in vain. The whereabouts of the blogger are still unknown.
His disappearance has been highly speculated as a kidnapping by people believed to be police officers.
The disappearance, arrest or kidnap of Oyiengo is not any different to what Kenyans have been treated to in the past two weeks.
On Monday, several activists were arrested as they protested against the rising cases of abductions and enforced disappearances of government critics. In various parts of the country, demonstrations erupted with protestors filling the streets and chanting in outrage over the increasing cases of abductions.
Many Kenyans, especially the youth, have been using social media platforms to speak out against a worrying rise in abductions.
