A lady identified as Grace from Kiambu County revealed how her husband tried to cover her up before he breathed his last in the hospital. This was after. she stabbed her husband in self-defence.
Grace was born and raised in Kiambu County. Unfortunately, her dad passed away when she was still young. Her mother had the burden of raising the 5 siblings. Despite her performing well in her primary Certificate and receiving an admission letter from a provincial school, she didn’t manage to join secondary school due to a lack of School.
She ended up getting married to a man who impregnated her when she was only 13 years old. After delivering her first child her husband started developing weird behaviours which made her walk out. She rented a lot of single rooms a few kilometres from her husband’s house.
Her husband apologized but she didn’t agree to go back to his house. They would live separately but he could visit her house now and then. After one year she fell pregnant after notifying her husband, he asked her to pack and go to his house but she was not ready for that.
One day her husband went into her house drunk and told her that one of them had to die and then the other one end up in prison if she fails to pack and go back to his house. She didn’t take him seriously, her husband started fighting her to pack while pushing each other they ended up in the cooking area.
Her husband grabbed a knife and stabbed her arm. Due to pain, she managed to push him since was drunk he fell and the knife fell from his hand, Grace grabbed the knife and stabbed his leg. He lost a lot of blood while there he would tell her to escape claiming that he will not make it
She rushed outside and asked a carb driver to help her rush him to the hospital. They took him to the nearest hospital when asked what happened, her husband told the doctors that they were both attacked by thugs to cover his wife up. After a few minutes, he breathed his last.
She felt guilty and told them that she was the one who stabbed him. She was arrested and charged with man slaughtering. She was jailed for seven years, she managed to go back to school while in prison and performed well. She received an admission letter from the university and the well-wishers helped her by paying the university fee.
