Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah on Saturday, 1 accompanied Deputy President Kithure Kindiki in Embu County during Bodaboda Summit.
The MP defended the Kenya Kwanza administration campaign promises about empowering the hustlers saying the government is committed to fulfill the promise.
Other leaders present were Senior Economic advisor Moses Kuria, Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire, Senator Alexander Mundigi, host MPs, and MCAs.
Interestingly, Public Service CS Justin Muturi skipped the event despite him coming from the same area.The event was majorly occupied by bodaboda riders.
Speaking during Bodaboda Summit at Runyenjes, Ichung’wah slammed Former DP Rigathi Gachagua for playing with the mind of the public to gain political mileage.
The MP challenged Gachagua to tell Kenyans what he did to the people of Embu during his time in office.
” Give us a break. You had the opportunity to serve but you let the Mt Kenya down…” Ichung’wah said.
Gachagua has continued to hold consultation meetings at his rural home in Wamunyoro, Nyeri County.
Gachagua, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, hosted a team from Samburu County, which paid him a courtesy call.
Taking to his official X account, Gachagua stated that he had listened to the team’s views and opinions on the various issues around the country and their expectations and ideas on how to deal with them.
Muturi on Friday slammed President Ruto for remaining silent over cases of abductions.
Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka backed Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi’s sentiments, calling for an end to the abductions and thorough investigations into the unfortunate incidents.
“I agree with mheshimiwa Muturi that this country needs to set up a commission of inquiry into the whole matter of these illegal, illegitimate, unfortunate abductions that have gotten the attention of the whole world,” he said.
