As president William Ruto lives his first five-year tenure, a number of political operatives among them Makueni county governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr are of a conviction that the doyen is bound to retain seat in the next election.
In a past public address, Governor Mutula ruled out chances of Kalonzo and Raila occupying the House on the hilltop saying the duo are void of enough resources to actualize their respective bids compared to Samoei who is well resourced.Addressing Kisii residents on Friday, president Ruto echoed Mutula Jr’s sentiments saying he is presently putting into place elaborate measures to see to to it he humbles his arch rival come 2027.Ruto has recently been urging the veteran to call off the protests and instead concentrate in the next poll now that 2022 poll is the thing of the past. Hitherto, a good number of Raila’s once close allies and supporters among them ex-Nairobi governor have ditched ODM for UDA.In a past media discourse, Evans Kidero argued that Orange party is living the last days of it’s glorious days adding that by 2027 the party will be dead as a dodo. Assuming Samoei’s revelations about his plans to neutralize, disarm and humble the veteran will live to see the right of the day, then chances of Kidero’s anti-Raila prophecy actualizing are practical and probable.
